Beneath the Surface.

This is a glimpse into some of the projects I’ve worked on. Each one started with research, questions, and a desire to understand what sits at the heart of the idea. From there, I develop visual solutions that are thoughtful, distinctive, and grounded in meaning.

Design That Speaks With Intention

Visual noise is everywhere. Many brands struggle to stand out or communicate clearly. I turn clarity into definition, through deliberate exploration of form and concept, shaping visuals that speak with intention and truly connect.

A handwritten note with images and annotations about storytelling and movies. The first image is a black-and-white photo of two boys whispering to each other. The second is a book cover titled "Favourite Maori Legends" by A.W. Reed. The third image is a colorful illustration of Maori warriors with traditional tattoos and face paint. The fourth is a black-and-white cover of the book "Understanding Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings" by William Ready. Handwritten notes describe themes of storytelling, mythology, and the influence of movies, with specific references to Maori culture, Lord of the Rings, and the story of the whispering boys.

Where Ideas Take Shape

Every solution begins with research, understanding the brand, the client, the audience, and the small details that add context and value. I generate concepts, test ideas, and refine designs with attention to meaning, contrast, and clarity. This ensures each project is concept-driven, intentional, and impactful. Click on a project below to see how these insights inform sketches, iterations, and outcomes. Each piece is crafted to connect, resonate, and solve real design challenges.

Hand-drawn wireframe sketch of a mobile app interface for browsing meals, featuring a toolbar with icons, a main content area with meal options, scrolling directions, and a floating toolbar
Sketch of a compilation of architectural design plans and an illustrated logo with the word 'BATCH' and decorative elements, including notes about historical and modern styles.
Hand-drawn sketches and notes about comedy festival themes, including an animated shoe with various objects spilling out, a paper doll with boxes for its head and body, a miniature story setting with a cage and a cat, a pill capsule, and a medicine bottle. The notes discuss topics like location, props, and imagery for comedy.
