NEW CYCLES
OF LIFE

Moving Ideas is a touring immersive art exhibition that explores themes of innovation, fast fashion, environmental and cultural issues. I developed the visual identity, posters, and art catalogue, blending experimental photography with concept-driven editorial layouts inspired by algorithms and cellular structures.

Exploring the Interplay of Digital and Natural Systems

Sparked by the idea that everything on our planet, from organic life to mechanical systems, can be understood as patterns of code or cellular structure, I wanted the branding to reflect this connection. My concept explored the tension between the algorithmic and the organic, the digital and the natural, using colour, pattern, and visual rhythm to echo systems both seen and unseen.

Large areas of white space created contrast, providing moments of pause and clarity.

The challenge was to visualise these complex and abstract themes in a way that felt cohesive and engaging. Black and white photography contrasts with bold green typography and subtle coded patterns that flow seamlessly across the white pages. Together, these elements reflect the interconnected themes of identity, transformation, consumption, and the essence of organic systems distilled to their core elements.

Grounded in research and inspired by exhibition themes, audience, and visual references, the design explored multiple directions. Through iteration, a balance emerged between clarity and experimentation, forming an identity that is thoughtful, expressive, and compelling.

The final work encourages reflection, expresses the exhibition’s ideas, and captivates viewers through a dynamic interplay of structure, chaos, and organic patterns.

The resulting visual language balanced overstimulation with calm, like stepping from a screen-lit environment into a quiet forest.
